To work with a client and present a solution to meet their needs – this involves meetings, fittings and receiving feedback. You will individually research, design and construct textile items.

This course includes garment design and pattern making (this may include commercial pattern use), garment construction and tailoring. Students will design for a specific target market or group. Students will individually research, design and construct textile items. 

This course is based on textile design and pattern making (this may include commercial pattern use). This includes textile construction and garment tailoring, as well as designing for a specific purpose. 

The aim of this course is to develop students' practical construction techniques, effective use of the design process and introduce them to creative elements and principles of design. Students will be introduced to a range of different techniques and will gain knowledge of practical pattern making and construction.

This course includes components of design, development, mock up and prototype. The aim of this course is to learn the basics of sewing including machine use, seams, zips, pockets and finishing techniques. Students will also use a range of media to add design features to their work.
